Ma se faccio caxxre con l'inglese!!! In poche parole ha spiegato come alleva le sue Phrynops : le ha da circa un anno e non tiene lampade spot nell'acquaterrario, la temperatura varia, dice che non va bene ne 27°C costanti ne tenerle a 20°-22°, credo che voglia intendere che deve esserci una variazione di temperatura in tutto l'acquaterrario per consentire alle tarta di stare dove più piace a loro...Poi dice che un tipo che era andato in Venezuaela per cercare/studiare le MataMata ha detto che alla profondità di 1 m ci sono circa 25° (credo si riferisse al loro habitat naturale). La foto è della sua femmina lunga 31 cm e di 3 kg di peso. Gli ho chiesto se aveva altre foto e ha postato la foto di maschio e femmina quando le aveva messe insieme per accoppiarsi. Ha suggerito di usare il traduttore di google se non capite l'inglese, lui lo usa per capire noi...e poi...bhè basta, credo sia tutto!

I think that now some baby Phrynops CB 06 are available!!!

I agree with you, for me they don't need high temperature of water. If you see, in the southern part of the distribution (south brasil)the temperatures are sometimes quite low (in august 5 C).
They are basking turtles, I think that it's better, to respect theirs beahviour, to keep water temperature low and put a spot with high temp.

Infatti dice anche che le sue tartarughe preferiscono nuotare nelle ore meno calde e luminose del giorno, per esempio subito dopo l'alba oppure verso il tramonto...

CB= captive breeding= nascite in cattvità
