no problem breeding testudo horsfieldii , it's quite simple . i bred testudo horsfieldii and testudo graeca graeca
for consecutive 5 years in the past and i'm breeding again since 2007 .
anyway better have a group as they seem to choose really careful their partners . in the end of august ,
or early september 2008 hope i have hatchling again .
thanks for the warm welcome guys .

got 2 eggs of malacochersus already(from 24 and 27 April 2008) ,as you know they only clutch 1 egg per laying but could breed 4 or 5 times an year . about the worm,i'm not sure but it's seems to be a genre of Ascaris lumbricoides . when we buy turtles the very first thing to do is a vet diagnostic ,it's prior to take desparasitation seriously 1 or 2 time an year .
thanks for the comment .
@twisty
kinixys is not an easy specie to maintain due to proper environment(high temperature/high humidity) for bacterias .i mostly feed them with worms(meal worms,silk worms,earh worms,snails-you may find all in a hunt and fishing) store,very similar to terrapene,and with some exotic fruits like papaya,mango,banana , along with common vegetables .
testudo graeca terrestris i never breed i'm expecting this year - i have only a trio of highyellow form, the others are common .

it's no big deal to reproduce THorsfieldii , mine live outside all year , and yes , when i got the clutches of this year i will share with you all .i dont remember the year but one of the females i remember layed about 6 eggs which is very rare . anyway normally it used to be 3-4 eggs but these last years as the oldest females have about 40 years and the oldest males 35 y.o use to go to 2-3 eggs each clutch .
if you were asking about malacochersus tornierii breeding, then i wont be surprised because as far as i know only a few ppl in all europe achieve successful breeding of this specie - my 2 older females layed 1 egg each during this last april month .
